Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and trista cummings ("we", "us"), who operates Tenant Cafe (the "Service"), a web app that helps tenants, landlords and property managers keep rental records, leases, maintenance requests and messages organized. By creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these terms.

Who can use the Service

You must be of legal age in your country. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm you are authorized to bind that business.

Your account

Keep your login details confidential and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service, including by:

• using it for anything unlawful, fraudulent or to send spam;
• uploading content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy;
• interfering with its security, including malware, probing, scraping or bypassing limits;
• reverse engineering, reselling or redistributing the Service.

Your content

You keep ownership of the documents and information you upload. You give us a limited licence to host and process it only to provide the Service.

Our intellectual property

We own the Service, including its software, design, documentation and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it within your selected plan.

Plans, payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, renewal, tax, cancellation and refund terms are set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms. Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled; when you cancel you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. See our Refund Policy.

Service availability

We work to keep the Service running well, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without implied warranties.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access for a material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You can stop using the Service at any time and may export your data before closing your account.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

Changes

We may update these terms and will show the new date at the top of this page.
